Blurb: The author of Delayed Penalty returns with the story of a free spirit who believes she’s found forever with a playboy on a singles cruise. Discover why Kelly Jamieson calls the Pilots Hockey series “fun and flirty, warm and sweet.”

Kristen Katsaros wants a life full of adventure and laughter. After a difficult childhood, her motto is to live each day like it’s her last—because it just might be. So when Kristen’s parents send her on a post-grad singles cruise in the Caribbean to meet a Greek husband, she promptly hooks up with the hottest guy she’s ever met. Pasha’s decidedly not Greek, but Kristen gives him a pass because he’s got fun written all over his rock-hard abs.

Pavel Gribov, the cocky playboy of the Detroit Pilots hockey team, can score any girl he wants. But when a teammate drags him on a singles cruise, he can’t resist the chance to help out a drop-dead gorgeous damsel in distress by pretending to be her boyfriend. Before long, the fake fling turns intimate, fueled by something much deeper than lust.

Review: This book was a real departure for me. The heroine has Cystic Fibrosis (C.F.) and had a shortened life span. I have a dear friend who has it, and at least one of her children also has the signs. This book was wonderfully uplifting for me, reading about the heroine’s great attitude and quest to live each day fully. For those who either have CF or love someone who suffers from a chronic disease, thus romance will hit your heart.

Kristen is living life to the fullest with a chronic illness. She’s got Cystic Fibrosis, which affects the respiratory system. So she’s determined to live life to the fullest because she–more than anyone else–understands tomorrow isn’t a given. So when she gets on this cruise, she’s determined to have a wonderful time and make each moment count.

Pavel is on this cruise to have a good time before the hockey season begins. He stumbles into a gorgeous girl in a weird situation and helps her out. She’s really gorgeous and sweet and he’s totally smitten. But…there’s a problem. He hasn’t really told her who he is or what  he does. Soon Pavel realizes that when they get home and she realizes who he is, the alpha is going to hit the omega.

That’s the problem with being a jerk. Your past can affect your future– and if you’ve always acted like an immature a$$hole, karma is going to kick your butt.

Funny, hot and sexy–this book is a great read in a series you don’t want to miss!
