A deadly secret can’t stay buried forever . . .
Revenge. It’s the only thing that will help Anya Best sleep at night. The serial killer who murdered her sister is on the loose, and Anya will stop at nothing to put him behind bars-even use herself as bait to lure him out of hiding. But she can’t do this alone.
Private investigator Heath Jones’s job is to bring bastards to justice. This time it’s personal. He knew the Copper Killer’s latest victim so when her sister asks for his help, he’s all in. But when Anya uses the media to taunt the killer, she exposes Heath’s identity, putting them both in jeopardy. Now, secrets buried long ago are coming to light and the forces determined to destroy him are watching Heath’s every move, waiting to exact their own revenge. And they’ll use anything and anyone to get to Heath.
With twists and turns that will take your breath away, LETHAL LIES is sexy, action-packed suspense at its very best from New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti.
Review: Rebecca Zanetti creates memorable characters and builds exciting worlds driven by her larger than life characters. She started this crazy plotline with Sin Brothers, and this spin-off series, Blood Brothers, continues the intriguing tale. This is the second one, and it’s Heath’s story.
How do you live with the knowledge that a serial killer is slaughtering women because of you. At least that’s how Anya Best feels when she realizes the connection between the strangely terrifying letters she’s been receiving with startling photos of red headed women and the Copper Killer on the news.
Enlisting the aid of her half sister, FBI Special Agent Loretta Jackson, Anya uses her training as a psychologist to profile the killer. When her sister goes missing in the middle of the investigation, Anya blames herself even more. If she hadn’t asked for a Loretta’s help, she wouldn’t be in danger.
Heath Jones and his brothers own Lost Bastards Investigations. While trying to outrun their past, they’re also investigating the Copper Killer, and Heath had personally worked with Anya’s sister. He is not only willing to help Anya search for clues to find her sister-he’s willing to take a personal role. His motives might be more than altruistic.
I enjoyed this continuation of the series and lived meeting these two characters. Part of my enjoyment was also anticipation of more to come, so hurry up Ms Zanetti!
