JC and the Bijoux Jolis by Katy Regnery is NOW LIVE!
If the best man and maid of honor are both single, it’s practically an unwritten rule that they should pork.
…so begins a rocky acquaintance between Jean-Christian “J.C.” Rousseau and Libitz Feingold at the wedding of J.C.’s brother and Lib’s best friend. While manslut best man J.C. is surprised when maid of honor Libitz soundly spurns his advances, his curiosity is piqued. The girl he couldn’t have becomes the only one he wants.
So, when he finds a seventy-year-old portrait in the attic of his sister’s mansion that bears an uncanny resemblance to the prickly gallery owner, he enlists her help in solving a mystery seven decades in the making. Traveling from Philadelphia to New York to Marseille, a couple who started off as enemies will discover that even cynics can find true love…and mortal man is no match for destiny.

I know I’m not the only girl who appreciates Katy Regnery and her amazing and inspired writing. I know there are many who avidly read her books like me; who are huge cheerleaders for her titles. But I’ve got to tell you–my enthusiasm for the lady and her writing goes beyond being a reader of her romance. I’m amazed… FREAKING amazed, in fact.. at her incredible discipline and drive to get books out. I don’t know any other artist or writer besides a certain lady I’ve compared her to in the past (Norah) that is so gifted with wonderful story plots and amazing characters that she seems to pluck from the air with no effort. Katy’s writing never suffers from the speed at which she goes. In fact, as several others who’ve reviewed her as well have mentioned, she just keeps getting better with each book.
The Rousseau family have a very interesting story with a Gallic twist. In this book, JC Rousseau finds himself much at a loss against a girl he finds more and more attractive as the evening goes on. Unfortunately, she finds him less and less attractive as the evening continues…which is a new experience for him.
Libitz doesn’t take foolish, arrogant men lightly, and from all reports, that’s what JC is. Even though he’s beautiful and intelligent, she can tell he’s only in it for himself–a predator who uses women and then leaves them, never realizing or caring about the damage he’s left in his wake. And that type of man is not for her.
Used by his philandering father as an excuse to visit women, JC had a very real fear of intimacy and love. It certainly didn’t work for his parents. He’s only had his father as an example, and what he saw was not the type of love he wanted. When he realizes that what he feels for Libitz is more than just attraction, will he be able to get her to take him seriously?
After months apart, they meet again at Etienne and Kate’s house and have a rapprochement over their shared feelings for Noelle. They really need to get along for the family’s sake.
Can they do it? And what kind of kink is the mysterious painting in the Rousseau family attic going to put in their path? Will their discovery hurt or help them find their way together into the future?
Great romance with an interesting twist that makes it almost impossible to put down. Thanks, Katy!
