Blurb: Starting over means a second chance . . .

Abigail Jansen is done with hockey . . . and hockey players. After leaving her two-timing NHL-star husband, Abby decides to start over in her hometown of Glenwood Falls, Colorado. There she doesn’t have to deal with people gossiping behind her back or hear the word “hockey”—until her daughter tries out for the junior hockey team. Now Abby has to face her fears . . . and coach Jackson Westmore. He’s tall, dark, handsome—and happens to hate her.

All through high school, talented hockey player Jackson Westmore had a crush on Abby, but he would never make a move on his best friend’s girl. He gave her the cold shoulder out of self-preservation and worked out his frustrations on the ice. So when Abby returns, newly divorced and still sexy as hell, Jackson knows he’s in trouble. Now even the best defensive skills might not keep him from losing his heart . . .

Review: What a great romance and such a funny story, too. It really made me chuckle because I’ve had that happen before…a boyfriend’s friend that seems to hate you–only to actually be in love with you. Of course, mine was not nearly as exciting and it freaked me out a little, but I still remember the jarring realization that he actually liked me…strange yet very flattering. Because I’m such a femme fatale…NOT! Anyway, this story was spicy and sweet and great to read on a gray winter day.

Jackson Westmore had been in serious like or crush or love–whatever you’d call a second grader’s emotions–with Abby Hansen since the first time he’d seen her. He’d always done the boy thing and punished her for it by doing all the things little boys do to get attention. So when She started saying his best friend Dean in high school, he’d stepped back. He just didn’t realize how far until she returned to town after her divorce.

He’d been waiting for her, dammit.

Ten years earlier, Abby had left town with Dean, six months pregnant with their daughter. Dean had gotten drafted into the NHL and after that, they lived in LA and he was always on the road. Unfortunately, the game had changed him, and after she caught him cheating, the marriage was over. But she never expected to return home only to have to deal with his best friend, Jackson.

Who was Jackson going to believe? Her or his best friend? Would he ever believe Dean had changed into someone she couldn’t trust anymore?

Luckily she doesn’t know Jackson’s got feelings for her that might just make him reconsider his friendship with Dean. Especially when he realizes that the friend he thought he knew had changed, and not for the better.

Sexy and set with an amazing group of characters I hope to read more about. Thanks!
