Review: These books are like sex personified, and I really felt connected to the characters as they developed and changed. The problems they have, while unique to the story, really encompass all the issues married couples have when children come along and the two adults are forced to get real.

Husbands think that the wife staying home is easy for her–they resent having the full load of the family’s financial stability on their shoulders. They don’t realize, and neither do most women, that staying home also steals away a woman’s identity, giving her a base other than her own skills and strengths by which to judge herself and her own self worth. If you have more than one child inevitably you give up a lot of your time and really do have to redefine yourself when it’s time to return to the work force.

This book really dealt with these issues and a lot more, especially for the male lead. He’d been virtually abandoned by his parents in many ways. His father’s nefarious con games and his mother’s alcoholism had caused them both to check out on him when he was growing up. He’d even lived on the streets at one point and had ended up in the system. He’d gotten everything on his own merits.

He didn’t feel like he was worth being in a relationship, and that came off to his partner as disrespectful and as if he didn’t want to commit to her. Like he was keeping his options open in case something better came along–which he totally wasn’t doing.

Luckily, with some good therapy along with some raunchy sex advice from a mysterious therapist, they might have a chance to reclaim both their relationship and their passion. Can they make it work?

If you like an incredibly sexy story centering on a couple dealing with basic issues you can probably relate to, read on! Thanks
