Blurb: All’s fair in love and hockey. . .

As his team’s enforcer on the ice, Sebastian Deveau is America’s favorite fighting Frenchman. But he’s just as likely to get into trouble off the ice–especially when it comes to women.

Shayne Beckford is so over hockey. It ruined her parents’ marriage. It spoiled her brother’s dreams. And let’s not even talk about her college boyfriend . . . So when Sebastian Deveau walks into her brother’s gym, she has no idea who he is. All she knows is that he’s one gorgeous man with the sexiest accent she’s ever heard. And since she never has to see him again, she lets him give her the best orgasm of her life right on top of the gym’s dryer.

But Sebastian isn’t going to let this one-night stand get away so easily. He fights for what he wants, even if it takes fighting a little dirty . . .

Review: I have to admit that I love this book up front. Victoria’s a great romance writer and I’ve been following this series for a while though I’ve missed one and look forward to catching up. What can I tell you in a nutshell to sell you on her? She writes a funny and upbeat story about engaging characters who have the kind of hook ups and foibles we do. Their relationships are messy, they’re usually against their better judgement, and they are oh so reliably human. Just like us.

What’s a guy to do but keep his job under wraps when the girl he’s chasing refuses to date hockey players? Obviously they hadn’t taken a lot of time getting to know each other before their one night stand, but Sebastian’s interested in something more than just hooking up. Maybe if he can get her interested enough in him before she finds out, she won’t care? And what’s wrong with hockey players anyway?

Shayne Beckford had spent a lot if time with hockey players. Her father had been a famous hockey player who’d also been well known for being a huge jerk, so her childhood had been very unpleasant. Then her brother had gotten hooked on painkillers in college, trying to keep playing through his injuries and not disappoint their dad. She was DONE with that lifestyle. She wanted a life free of that crap. That’s why she’d hooked up with a man she’s thought was an accountant or a lawyer. Plus, he was a one night stand, why did he keep showing up?

Of course, everything comes tumbling down when the truth comes out. Shayne’s got to figure out if this hockey player was different, and she needs to do it quick because Sebastian’s getting his feelings hurt because she’s got issues from her past.

Sexy, hot and sweet romance. I loved it! Thanks
