Blurb: The bestselling author of the Heller Brothers series stirs up a tempting cocktail of fun and seduction as a sexy SEAL-turned-bartender treats a buttoned-up scientist to a wild weekend . . . and a change of heart.
Former Navy SEAL Beck Whitcomb left a world of privilege to prove he could make his own way. Money, mansions, expensive cars—none of it could heal the loss of his older brother, or buy his parents’ love. Now, after using his trust fund to open the Conquistadors tequila bar with his brothers-in-arms, Beck has it all: good friends, fine liquor, and hot hookups. When it comes to women, commitment’s not his thing—until he gets a taste of the pretty professor who walks into his bar . . . and winds up in his bed.
Hayden Miles knows all too well that emotional decisions can lead to heartbreak, and nothing screams “bad decision” like a playboy bartender with inked biceps and a wicked smile. Still, their chemistry is off-the-charts explosive—and Hayden knows her chemistry. For once, this good girl longs to let loose. But is she willing to risk the pain to quench her thirst? With the promise of more on the table, Hayden’s eager to believe . . . before she misses her shot.
Review: Everybody’s got secrets. Some are nice surprises and sometimes the secret is bad. But in Body Shot, the secrets are only part of the story because the writing is so damn hot! How Kelly Jamieson fits so much heat into each page of this book is beyond description. It made me feel happy, excited and ready to go for this twosome who prove that even smart girls get love, too. And I’ve spent the entire book imagining the man bun!
Hayden has so much going on in her life. She’s teaching college courses, running a research lab, and taking care of her elderly aunt and uncle. There’s no time for dating–except when her friend talks her into a night on the town. When she meets Beck, her whole world gets turned on its head, because he’s got more than chemistry going for him…He’s her perfect match.
The characters are great, their encounters going from just this once to a relationship before they even realize it. For two smart people, it certainly takes them a long time to realize it’s more than the tequila bringing them together. Great plot line with writing that slides you right into the story. Thanks for the read, Kelly!
