Blurb: In this steamy novel from New York Times bestselling author Noelle Adams, a notorious tech mogul makes a mild-mannered woman an offer she can’t refuse. What he gets is a battle for control—and a million-dollar affair.

Eric Vincent isn’t in the habit of asking for help. As the founder of a lucrative sports videogame franchise, he’s accustomed to getting his way and enjoying the fruits of his hard-earned success. Then all his illusions of dominance are shattered by a skiing accident that leaves him hobbled, facing a string of surgeries and months of immobility. The only way he’s going to survive is with someone by his side to anticipate his every desire. Someone who will devote every waking second to his comfort. Someone like Julie Nelson . . .

Julie’s life revolves around other people: her students, her parents, her sister. But even she has her limits. Julie has zero interest in playing personal assistant to Eric Vincent, a man who’s as arrogant as he is charismatic . . . until he ups the salary to one million dollars for three months’ work. Soon Julie’s struggling to bite her tongue—and resist the chemistry that draws her to Eric. But after one scorching kiss, Julie decides it’s finally her turn to be selfish. And this time, she’s going to get what she wants.

Review: What a perfectly done romance! It contained everything needed in a concise timeline with no extraneous plots. Plus, it was really really hot without meaning to be, the build up between the two characters done so carefully yet in such a beguiling way that you can’t help but get hooked. I started it in the morning and my poor son had to home school himself until I finished it! I just love getting hooked into a story and not being able to stop until I finished.

It’s funny how life often takes unexpected turns, isn’t it? The way that Julie Nelson meets Eric Vincent is bumpy, as is their relationship initially. She’s just lost her mother after a long illness; Eric’s just realized that having a broken leg is going to cost him a lot of his time and independence. When they’re stuck in the elevator together leaving the hospital, Julie makes him feel very relaxed and comfortable–much more so than the four private nurses he’s hired and fired in the last two weeks. So he makes an instant decision to hire her to take care of him for the next three months as he convalesces.

Julia wasn’t impressed by the grumpy handsome guy in the wheelchair with the broken leg. He was rude and shouty to the people with him, and he wasn’t that nice to her, a total stranger. Getting his job offer to take care of him for the months was crazy, but when he took her arguing as a salary negotiation, she caved at a million. She’d be able to make different choices for her life with that kind of money–but she wasn’t looking forward to it. He was really bossy!

This was a really great romance that hooked me immediately, and I could not put it down until it was over! I absolutely adored it! It left me feeling happy at the end. Thanks!
