Blurb: He’s driving her crazy…
Piper West is finally on her own, and it’s time to get crazy. Except that her overprotective big bro has enlisted his ex-cop best friend to keep an eye on his baby sister. With every move monitored and reported back, Piper’s life has gone from “going crazy” to “being driven crazy.” But a searing-hot kiss with her sexy and scarred watchdog is just the game-changer she needs…
Cole Black owes Piper’s brother big-time, but there’s nothing easy about his new assignment. Piper is all feisty sexiness and curves meant to tempt a man beyond reason, and Cole can’t stop himself. Now he’s caught up in a hunger like nothing he’s ever known, and he can’t get enough…
Even if Piper’s the one girl he’s not allowed to have.
Review: This was such a great read. It was hot and sexy fun with that taboo subject we all love–your older brothers friends. Didn’t you always think they were so cute and amazing?
Piper’s feeling out of sorts about her job and her life. Why are her sister and best friend treating her like she doesn’t know how to do more than the most basic repairs on the cars that come into their shop? She wants to do the more exciting restoration work too! And why does her brother keep harping on her to move? She’s perfectly happy in the house they inherited from their grandmother. Just because it’s not in the greatest neighborhood, Deacon is pressuring her to move now that her roommates have moved out.
Plus, suddenly her brother’s best friend Cole is moving into the garage apartment. Has her brother put him up to this? Is he there to protect her? She’s had a crush on him forever, but he’s never done anything to make her think his feelings are more than just friendly. Especially since he’d turned her down years ago when she’d gathered up the nerve to make a move on him.
Cole owes his best friend Deacon a lot. Who else but a best friend would take the time to keep showing up when you need him? But this favor may be too much. He’s always craved Deacon’s little sister Piper since he first noticed she’d gotten boobs, and now he’s supposed to protect her? Who’s going to protect her from him?
This trope always works for me–probably because I had three brothers ;-).This story is funny and unexpectedly sexy with some suspense thrown to give the plot line that added a touch of tension. Plus who wouldn’t love an auto repair place run by three women? Loved it enough I went back to buy the first two in the series. Enjoy!
