Blurb: Quarterback Tyler Oakes plays hard and parties even harder. That reckless lifestyle nearly derailed his career, and now the Birmingham Rebels are Ty’s last shot at football immortality. But staying out of trouble can take its toll—especially for a man with a taste for girls and guys. Because curvy, gorgeous Randi McInish is just the kind of trouble he’d like to get into.

A tough-as-nails undercover cop, Randi meets her match in Ty. After they get wrapped up together in a drug bust and a high-speed car chase, Randi’s eager to take the notorious bad boy for another wild ride. Turns out Ty already has something in mind. When he introduces her to the Rebels’ sexy new quarterback coach, things start heating up a little too fast for Randi.

Brian Mason coached Ty in college, and BOY do they have history together. With Brian taking control on the field and in the bedroom, they were an unstoppable team. But Brian, blindsided by love, ran from his feelings for Ty. He won’t let Randi make the same mistake. Both men agree they need more than each other. They want a woman they can share. And when they make a pleasure play for Randi, all three are sure to score.

Review: You know, I’m starting to really enjoy the team aspects of Samantha Kane’s newest series, Birmingham Rebels. While that could be a reference to the first two having featured menage, the team I’m referring to in this sentence is a football one. A team with a bad reputation. This is a group of players no one else wants–the rejects, the has-beens, the notoriously hard to handle. This is their last chance to play before they quit football forever. So yes, I’d say they all have a chip on their shoulders. The real question is: will the desperation of their situations allow them to relax long enough to get along with each other?

Ty Oaks is lonely and alone. As the quarterback of the team and a well-known troublemaker, he heads into a bar called Kitty Licks at the beginning of the book, basically asking for trouble. And he finds it in the beguiling persona of Randi, the good time girl. Little does he know he’s stumbling into a situation that’s waaaay over his head, and it’s about to get worse!

Randi’s not sure what misbegotten idea drew this beautiful mountain of a man into this bar and into her path, but right at this moment, he’s a huge problem. He could really screw things up! Luckily they make it through okay–not without a serious bitching out from her brother–and then they tumble into bed to work off that pesky adrenaline. But their one-night stand takes on a life of its own…

When trainer Brian Mason took the job with the Birmingham Rebels, it was with the hope that he would be reunited with his favorite mistake. He’d been a huge a#$hole when he’d left Ty. Hopefully, Ty would forgive him and they could start again. Unfortunately, when he gets there it seems like Ty’s already involved–with a woman. Is it too late?

I really liked the way that the team is starting to draw together. Besides the great sexy writing style that Samantha Kane does flawlessly, she’s also doing character development with these players. It’s not just hot and sexy, she’s starting to show a little bit of the team mentality that’s growing between the players. That takes a book that’s hot and sexy and adds a dimension of complexity that I’m going to enjoy watching grow over the next couple of books. Thanks!
