Hello all! Welcome to the first stop in the Loving Blitz mini blog tour, celebrating the release of the fourth novella in the North Pole City Tales series! A big thank you to It’s About the Book for hosting me today, and thank you to everyone stopping by.

MendingNoel150For those who might be unfamiliar with the series, North Pole City tales has been my own little holiday tradition since 2012 when the first story Mending Noel was released as part of Dreamspinner’s Advent Calendar anthology, Evergreen.

At the time, I hadn’t considered extending this little tale beyond one book, but a lovely lady at Dreamspinner Press really enjoyed Tim and Noel’s story and asked me if I would think about turning it into a series. It was then I came up with the idea of turning it into a series and having a new couple’s story release every year around the holidays.

In Mending Noel we’re introduced to Tim and Noel—our Christmas elves—and North Pole City, where most of our stories take place. North Pole City is vast, inhabited by many an enchanted creature and it’s run by Mayor Kringle. Oh, Kringle hasn’t delivered present in a very long time. The spirit of Christmas has a huge city to run and has a seat on the Enchanted Council of Magical Creatures. It takes up a good deal of his time. It’s the Rein Dears—Kringle’s handsome and dashing elf pilots—who deliver present around the globe in their festive biplanes.

HeartofFrost[The]150We also meet Jack Frost and the love of his life Rudy Rein Dear in Mending Noel. Jack is the powerful Prince of Frost, and Rudy the Captain of the Rein Dear Squadron. In The Heart of Frost, we get Jack and Rudy’s romance, along with mystery and sabotage. We also meet Jack’s father, the King of Frost, along with Jack’s cousins Hollis and Vale Frost.

VixensValour150Vale Frost is a sweet, shy, and distinguished lieutenant for the Toy Soldier army, and one of the heroes of Vixen’s Valor, and like the title suggests, Vixen is his love interest. Vixen very much lives up to his name. He’s the flirty and mischievous Rein Dear who also happens to be Rudy’s best friend. Vixen’s Valor is the story of two very
different elves and how they overcome many obstacles on the road to love.

This year we have Loving Blitz, a super sweet tale of romance between the sweet and adorable Cupid, and the big and burly Blitz, both Rein Dear pilots for Kringle. The two elves are the opposite in every way, but they fit together perfectly. In Loving Blitz, we join them on their adventures to love. The whole of the North Pole is celebrating a joyous occasion, and Cupid’s been tasked with a very important quest. Blitz of course is always at his best friend’s side, and together the two will need to outrun menacing shadows, dark magic, and frightful truths before they can find happiness in each other’s arms.

I’m loving every moment of writing this series. Of taking old childhood holiday favorites and giving them a twist. What’s your favorite fairy tale retold? A new version of an old classic?

From North Pole City to Winter Wonderland, preparations are underway after a royal announcement sweeps everyone into a frenzy of festivity. At the heart of the celebration are the city’s most beloved elf pilots, the Rein Dears. Once the Big Flight is behind them, the pilots prepare for the royal event. Assigned a special task of finding an Elska rose, Cupid and Blitzen are unaware of how their friendship is about to change forever.

Yet not all that glitters is gold. The sweet, angelic Cupid hides a dark secret, one that threatens to destroy his Rein Dear status, his friends, and the elf who’s captured his heart. It’s up to Blitzen to help Cupid see the light in the darkness and show him that together they can mend broken hearts.

Loving Blitz can be read on its own, but for maximum enjoyment, it’s recommended the series be read in order as characters from previous books make appearances and previous events are mentioned.

  1. My favorite holiday activity is staying home, in my pajamas surrounded my pillows and blankets, with my kitten sleeping on my lap and reading a good book or watching TV Shows. :3

  2. My favorite holiday tradition is decorating the tree/house. We make a family part out of it.

I love this series – have my copy of Loving Blitz on pre-order. Such a lovely cover, too.

  3. My favourite holiday tradition is a bit fluid, but it’s getting as many of my family together as we can at some time over the holiday.
