Blurb: Monica Campbell may have a history as a wild child, but she’s changed her ways. She’s respectable, responsible—and, most importantly, she’s sworn off bad boys. That is, until Callum Hughes roars back into her life with his sexy British accent and killer smile.
Cal remembers every steamy moment he shared with Monica, but he barely recognizes the straight-laced woman she’s become. Determined to lure Monica into letting go of her inhibitions, Cal will use every trick he knows to fire her blood and tempt her body…reminding her
just how good it can feel to be bad—and his.
Review: A great story about second chances, this hot and complicated romance made me want to find more from this series–and I think you will too!
Monica had lost more than a parent when her mother died. She’d lost her sense of security, her dad had basically disappeared, and her older sister had turned into a stern taskmaster instead of a playmate. Acting out had only gotten her into trouble, and when she’d finally pushed over the line in one catastrophic event–everything had come crashing down. She’d spent the last few years “behaving” herself–but you wouldn’t know it from the criticism she still gets. When are they ever going to let her forget it?
Cal had been one of her favorite mistakes–a bad-boy on a motorcycle with a British accent and an amazing ass–and they’d nearly hooked up years before at her dad’s wedding. The attraction’s still there when he shows up this time, but she’s older and wiser now. She’s not that girl anymore…or is she?
She’s got to resist him!
Cal can’t believe how much Monica has changed. What happened to the flirtatious, funny and hot girl? She’s locked down in somber clothes and working way too much. But when he catches her checking out his ass, he realizes the old Monica may not be completely gone…so he sets out to “free” the girl he remembers. But what’s going to happen when he falls in love with her? Is he ready to make a commitment? For someone who’s always lived his life as a carefree vagabond, getting tied down is the last thing he’d planned on.
The action is this book is funny and hot, but the best part of the story is the internal development that happens to the characters and between them. They each need to grow up and leave the past in the past–so they can move on and become the people they need to be. It’s a great story that’ll warm your heart as well as keep you reading until the great ending. Thanks!
