Blurb: How could everything that seemed so right suddenly have gone so wrong for Mia? Snow is on the ground and Christmas lights twinkle in the German Christmas market. The warm, spiced wine is just right, but there’s still one key ingredient missing from her romantic dream. Will Mia’s Christmas turn out to be sugar and spice and all things nice – or a deflated soufflé of loneliness and regret?
Christmas Cravings is a festive romance standalone episode from the Greedily Yours series.

About the series: Mia Maxwell loves food. She loves it so much that she’s made it her career. She owns a food PR business that fills her days, and by night she’s a food blogger with a burgeoning audience. With her ‘Culinary Confessions of a Greedy Girl’, Mia takes the reader on a delicious journey, searching for top dishes and the perfect man.

Review: I love British romantic comedies and sometimes the chick lit is amazing. In this short read, however, I felt completely lost. But I must say that the writing was sweet and funny, and I did enjoy the heroine and her sweetie, Tom. Their characterizations were realistic and from the heart; I found myself both sympathetic and cheering at the end when they cleared up their misunderstanding. I also liked the secondary characters–her friends and family. Plus, the environment she described–the German fair, the English countryside–all things I love reading about because they are so “foreign” to my American lifestyle. That’s why I read British writers! I feel like I didn’t give this author a fair shake because I read this out of order and didn’t know what was going on–so I plan on trying to read more.

If you’ve read the others in this series, I’d imagine this would be a great addition. If, like me, this is your first try, then read the beginning first.
