Blurb: Construction worker Russell Hart has been head-over-work boots for Abby Sullivan since the moment he laid eyes on her. But he knows a classy, uptown virgin like her could never be truly happy with a rough, blue-collar guy like him. If only she’d stop treating him like her personal hero—a role he craves more than oxygen—maybe he could accept it.

With the future of her family’s hedge fund on her shoulders, Abby barely has time to sleep, let alone find love. And her best friend Russell acting like a sexy, overprotective hulk any time their Super Group goes out in public definitely isn’t helping her single status. But after a near-tragedy lands Russell in her bed for the night, Abby’s suddenly fantasizing about what he looks like shirtless. Chest hair and tattoos—who knew?

As Russell struggles to keep Abby at a safe distance, she begins to see through his tough-talking exterior—and acknowledge her own feelings. Now she’s ready to turn the friend-zone into foreplay…and make him lose control. Continue reading Make Me (Broke and Beautiful #3)

Love Lessons, Book 3

With the quiet help of his wealthy family, Sebastian “Baz” Acker has successfully kept his painful past at bay. But as the end of college draws near, his friends—his buffer zone—are preparing to move on, while his own life is at a crippling standstill.

With loneliness bearing down on him, Baz hooks up—then opens up—with Elijah Prince, the guy Baz took a bullet for last year. The aftershocks of their one-night stand leave giant cracks in Baz’s carefully constructed armor. For the first time, the prospect isn’t terrifying.

Accustomed to escaping his demons by withdrawing into his imagination, Elijah isn’t used to having a happy herd of friends. He’s even less comfortable as the object of a notorious playboy’s affections. Yet all signs seem to indicate this time happiness might be within his grasp.

When Baz’s mother runs for a highly sought-after public office, the media hounds drag Baz’s and Elijah’s pasts into the light. In the blinding glare, Baz and Elijah face the ultimate test: discovering if they’re stronger together…or apart.

Product Warnings: Contains sex in a Tesla, sex in a cupboard, sex under a piano, kinky role play, and a cappella RuPaul songs. Just a couple of boys groping, battling, then finally loving their way to becoming men.

Blurb: Emily McCarthy is living in fear of a dark and dangerous past. A gifted mathematician, she is little more than a hollow, broken shell, trying desperately to make ends meet long enough to finish her degree. Through an unlikely friendship with the aging, cantankerous owner of an old boxing gym, Em is thrown into the path of the most dangerous man that she has ever met.

Cormac “The Hurricane” O’Connell is cut, tattooed and dangerous. He is a lethal weapon with no safety and everyone is waiting for the mis-fire. He’s never been knocked out before, but when he meets E he falls–hard. Unlike any other girl he’s ever met, she doesn’t want anything from him, but just being around her makes him want to be a better person.

They are polar opposites who were never meant to find each other, but some things are just worth the fight.

Review: This was a beautifully written story about a completely incongruous couple–a frightened woman and a huge, menacing man. She should have been horrified by him, but she could see in his eyes and hear in his voice that he meant her no harm. And he had the patience and the dream in his heart that one day she would be his.

Emily’s growing up years were very hard. She lost her dad when she was about ten years old, and her mom remarried shortly after to an abusive asshole who very slowly started physically menacing her. Luckily she escaped to go to college, but not until one last night that shattered her dreams and left her physically and emotionally incapable of ever letting anyone near her again. She changed her name and moved far away, but she always lived with the fear of what would happen the day he found her again.

Cormac O’Connell’s alcoholic mom abused and neglected him his entire life. Luckily he stumbled into Danny’s gym early on and fighting saved his life–literally and figuratively. One morning he caught sight of a beautiful girl being kind to a homeless man and saw his future. He’d do anything to win her and have her in his life, and when he realized that she was as damaged as he was–he was prepared to wait.

When they get together, as friends and then as lovers, his sweet and chivalrous behavior combined with his alpha possessiveness and crazy hot, absolutely wicked dirty talk make him one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. And Em’s ability to look beyond her dismal situation and find the good in other people even though she’d been treated to very little in her life was sweet and inspiring. I especially liked how the author portrayed how the two embraced their poverty together and weren’t embarrassed by it anymore–really beautiful and touching and a great intimate connection point between them.

This is a gorgeous, gripping story that rips your heart from stem to stern, hitting the highs with heated, hot sex only to plummet to horrible, tragic violence against a delicate heart that had already seen enough. I recommend it highly and cannot WAIT for the sequel! Thanks Ms. Prescott!
