Blurb: If you love the Dark Protectors, these wicked hot Realm Enforcers are for you!
Alexandra Monzelle is a hard-fighting, heat-packing Seattle vice cop, and she’s not much interested in being protected. Her short skirt and sex-kitten heels are tools to lure her suspects into talking about the deadly new drug hitting the streets. She can take care of herself and then some. Unfortunately, she can’t seem to get that through to Kellach Dunne.
Kellach is a fresh import from Dublin, and he’s landed at the heart of a vicious motorcycle club that deals in guns, narcotics, and mayhem. He’s all male, all rough power—and all interference in her damn investigation. Maybe he’s one of the good guys. Maybe not. Lex knows an affair with an immortal like him would risk everything. No matter how delicious he looks…
Review: Zanetti’s powerhouse world-building skills show to their advantage again in this new series about supernatural “enhanced” humans, witches, demons and more stalking the streets of Seattle. I love her roller coaster style of writing, combining the paranormal with the romance at a dead run, catapulting her characters from one scene to the next with uncanny precision and outright chutzpah. No one does sex on the fly better than our girl Rebecca, folks. Her books are a razor across your neck, a hot-shot of adrenaline that’s only soothed by the savage thrill of a black-jacketed man fighting to the death for the woman he loves…
But that woman happens to be pissed about it! Rebecca Zanetti hasn’t written a weak, delicate flower for the female lead in this book, readers! This lady is PISSED when someone steps in to protect her, and her centuries old witch boyfriend doesn’t understand. Welcome to the twenty-first century, dude.
Alex is a vice cop on the streets, searching for the source of a new drug, Apollo, that’s taking out people left and right. It seems to be burning people from the inside out! One night on stake out she happens to stumble across an interesting man–who gets under her skin while trying to protect her from a drug addict she’s lured into an alley. He’s messing up her plans to get information. Kellach Dunne is part of the motorcycle gang that she and her partner are casing to see if they’re involved. But he keeps telling her to trust him. WTF?
Kellach Dunne is crazy attracted to the beautiful vice cop and he knows he should stay away from her. It’s just going to complicate his undercover mission and get him in a heap of trouble with his coven. But he can’t resist her! It’s going to distract him at the worst time possible. His team needs to be concentrating on finding out where the Apollo drug is coming from so that they can stop it from its source. His life and the lives of his coven depend on it. He can’t make any stupid mistakes…like falling in love.
I loved this thriller of a ride and really enjoyed not only the tension and heat that shimmered between Alex and Kel but the whole plot that was slowly uncovered as the mystery became more clear. I’m looking forward to reading more of the series as it comes! Thanks Rebecca for an always excellent story!
