Blurb: Welcome to Wanton Christmas Wishes, an offering from six bestselling erotic historical romance authors. Dukes, soldiers, lords and gentlemen court and seduce beautiful heroines and make all their wishes come true. These tales are the perfect bite to get you in a festive mood…

HIS TO COMMAND by bestselling author Monica Burns. Prequel to the Self-Made Men Series. A Christmas Eve blizzard and one small act of discipline compromises Charlotte Clayworth, but she refuses John Fordyce’s proposal. Now, years later, the Self-made Men decide to reunite the lovers for one more wanton Christmas wish.

THE KISSING BOUGH by NYT and USA Today bestselling author Madelynne Ellis. Viola Marsh has been forced to live an austere life, locked away under the watchful eye of her spinster aunt. Only on Christmas Eve is she allowed her freedom, to take part in the tradition of wassailing. Cousins, Percy Gilling and Lord William Ricborough share a close and special relationship, and they require a very particular woman to satisfy their needs. What they’re not expecting is to find her poised beneath the mistletoe on a wintery hilltop.

HAMISH by Samantha Kane. Book One of The 93rd Highlanders. During the Crimean War, injured Captain Hamish Fletcher is sent to the hospital in Scutari, where he finds his old friend and lover Dr. Phineus Harper treating the wounded. Finn can keep him at the hospital until Christmas. Will it be enough time to convince widowed nurse Edith Lambeth to grant both men their Christmas wishes?

ALL A MISTRESS WANTS by Eliza Lloyd. Eloisa Larkin wishes for the one thing she can’t have—the love of the powerful Duke of Sterling. Being his mistress provides many luxuries but being hopelessly devoted to a man who loves another as left her feeling alone and the last thing she wants is to spend Christmastide with him and his family.

A CHRISTMAS KISS by Jess Michaels. Tricked into spending time alone with the husband who made it clear he doesn’t care about her, the Countess of Blackgrove, Amelia, has no idea how to react. But Stephen only wants seduction… and love.

LOVING MICHAEL by NYT and USA Today bestselling author Kate Pearce. Since returning from the peninsular wars, Michael Waterstone has learned to live within restricted boundaries and taught himself not to yearn for what he can never have. Fortunately for him, ex-courtesan Angelique Delisle is no respecter of boundaries of any kind, and offers him a provocative Christmas wager that might change his life forever…

Review: I’ve never reviewed an anthology, so here we go! These were stories that all had a delightful, musky love angle to them, with the kind of kink that some of us adore — okay, is it just me? Remember, Santa’s watching, so no lying!

HIS TO COMMAND by Monica Burns. While the length of time the two had to wait made me very sad, I seriously loved the secret, naughty lovemaking and think that I would really like to read more of the stories by Ms. Burns. She knows how to write her sexy times! A strong 4 to this short short prequel to the Self-Made Men Series.

THE KISSING BOUGH by Madelynne Ellis. I loved innocent yet brave Viola Marsh, who kept on trying to love even though she’d basically been abandoned by all of society and her family. Thank goodness for Percy and William, who dared to look under the mistletoe on Christmas Eve and found the most beautiful, delicious, and willing lady. The lady that would make their perfect match complete! And thank goodness for Aunt Clara! Loved her. 4.5 for this story!

HAMISH by Samantha Kane. I have to admit to a secret with Ms. Kane. I have gobbled up her books like Smarties. They are delectable, and besides Ms. Pearce’s, they are one of the reasons I jumped at this. Reading about the budding romance between Finn and Edith and then the addition of Hamish… ~sigh~. Perfect Kane at her best. These books are tender, rough, sexy, honest, emotional, and cling to you like a barnacle after you’ve finished reading them. Lovely, just lovely. 4.5 here.

ALL A MISTRESS WANTS by Eliza Lloyd. A sweet story about how even the most powerful can overlook the smallest things. Eloisa Larkin has long wished for the love of the powerful Duke of Sterling. Being his mistress isn’t enough anymore. It’s better to be without him than to continue, knowing he’ll never love her the way he loved his former wife. After she informs him of her decision, Adam suddenly realizes that he can’t live without her and tricks her into one last Christmas stay at his country estate. Is it too late to convince her to stay, and is it time for him to realize that what he feels might be… love? 4 stars all the way!

A CHRISTMAS KISS by Jess Michaels. An engaging story about another example of how eavesdroppers, however unintentional, never hear good of themselves. An overheard remark caused Amelia to leave her husband after their wedding night. Six months later, Stephen’s decided he’s had enough and tricks her into spending the week before Christmas with him at his country estate, determined to woo her back. It works! 4 stars here.

LOVING MICHAEL by Kate Pearce. ~Micheal~ I have often wondered about Michael Waterstone. We met in Educating Elizabeth (I’m still waiting for the story about his male nurse Kate!!) Seriously injured from the war and left in a wheelchair, he was rescued by his sister Elizabeth from the evil clutches of their mother and given a new life and job by her husband the Duke of Diable Delamere. However, now his job is all he has. But he’s about to get a Christmas present from a friend that will help him understand that there’s always room for second chances in everything, especially love with the right partner. 4.5+ stars! I want more!!

This was a delightful Christmas read and I really enjoyed it; found some new authors to me that I will enjoy following up with; and found comfort with some old friends. Happy Holidays!
